Ballycorus Official Opening

The official opening of Old Wesley's and Lansdowne's new grounds at Ballycorus took place on Sunday 25th November.  Following speeches from Old Wesley President Robert Deacon and Lansdowne President Paddy Halpenny a plaque was unveiled by Michael McLaughlin, President of Leinster Branch IRFU.  The opening was attended by members from both clubs, together with representatives from the Leinster Branch, local politicians, representatives from other local sports clubs and some local residents.

Following the official opening Old Wesley played Greystones and Lansdowne played Old Belvedere in J1 league matches, which both home teams won.  Old Wesley recovered after trailing 13 nil at half time to win 15 points to 13.
