Message from the Club Captain, Greg Jacob
I would like to take this opportunity as captain of Old Wesley to welcome all visitors to Donnybrook for the season 2011/2012.
It is a great honour for me to captain Old Wesley Rugby Club in the coming season and in my role I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our players and members both old and new. Optimism and prospects are high for the 2011/12 season and I anticipate a highly competitive playing environment all over the country and look forward to these challenges. I think we have an exciting year ahead of us, with a good pre-season down and the work of the underage section coming to fruition putting all this together I hope we can build on our current strong position. Although no game will be easy, with hard work, dedication and pride anything is possible.
To all our sponsors, and in particular to our primary sponsor Elverys Sports, many thanks for your continued commitment in what are difficult economic times. Your help allows the club compete to its full potential.
Finally, the unwavering dedication of the various committees at all levels of the club ensure that Old Wesley Rugby Club is a great place to play rugby and to meet people. We are grateful for these efforts and long may they continue in the future. Your support means a lot to the squad and we hope to reward your loyalty this season, with some great rugby and results. Together, we can ensure this great club continues to become stronger.
